Fernandes was filmed sharing light-hearted moments during the flight as Ruben Amorim’s squad jetted off to North America for the next phase of preparations.
As shared on the club’s official YouTube page, the United captain shared his thoughts on Manchester United’s trip to the United States, with new teammates and fresh energy setting the tone for preseason under Rúben Amorim.
Speaking from the plane en route to the US, the Portuguese addressed the excitement within the group as the squad continues to take shape.
He said that:
“It’s always good to be back with the team.”
“We’re looking forward to what’s coming. New ideas, new season everyone is ready to work. The US tour is important for us to get sharper and know exactly how we want to play.”

Footage showed Fernandes chatting with close teammates while moving around with Joshua Zirkzee, questioning teammates, and hyping club officials.
Starting in the front section of the team’s plane, Fernandes approached new signing Matheus Cunha with a smile, asking about his mood ahead of the tour. The Brazilian, calm and collected, said he was feeling good and ready for the work ahead, adding that he was excited to play for the club.
The captain also checked in with another new signing, Mbeumo, who Bruno tagged as
“the man everyone was waiting for.”
The Cameroonian offered a cheerful reply when asked of his expectations from the tour.
He chuckled and said this:
“I am excited and ready for the challenge and also ready to get scoring goals for the club”.
Bruno, alongside Zirkzee, met with other players, with several academy talents who were with the squad for the pre-season, namely Toby Collyer, Gore, Ayden Heaven, Tyler Fredricson, and others.
United are still exploring options to strengthen their attacking line but are yet to finalise a deal. However, the manager has not pushed for a panic buy and is believed to be focused on longer-term solutions rather than short-term fixes.
