Boniface Shines as Leverkusen Triumphs Over Hoffenheim

Bayer Leverkusen secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Hoffenheim on Sunday, with Victor Boniface and Gift Orban both finding the net in an exciting Bundesliga clash.

Boniface, who nearly joined Al Nassr in January, put speculation behind him by opening the scoring in the 15th minute.

Four minutes later, Jeremie Frimpong doubled Leverkusen’s lead with a composed finish after a brilliant solo run. The third goal came in the 51st minute when Patrik Schick volleyed into the top corner.

However, the game took a turn when Alex Grimaldo received a second yellow card in the 61st minute, reducing Leverkusen to 10 men.

Just a minute later, Orban capitalized on a goalmouth scramble to pull one back for Hoffenheim.

Despite the setback, Leverkusen held firm and remain second in the Bundesliga standings with 45 points, trailing leaders Bayern Munich by six points.
