England reached the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals after Jude Bellingham inspired a dramatic 2-1 extra-time comeback victory over Norway in Miami, Softfootball reports.
Fresh from his brace against Mexico, Bellingham again delivered when it mattered most. Norway stunned England after Andreas Schjelderup’s cross-shot deceived Jordan Pickford, but Bellingham levelled in first-half stoppage time with a superb solo effort.
The goal survived Norway’s protests over a possible deflection off an overhead camera cable, with FIFA confirming the ball made no contact.
Norway missed key chances to extend their lead, including a promising counter-attack when Alexander Sørloth failed to find Erling Haaland. England capitalised as Bellingham completed the comeback in extra time, reacting quickest after Ørjan Nyland spilled Morgan Rogers’ long-range effort.
