The future of Nick Woltemade remains up in the air as transfer talks between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart continue to stall.
While the talented 22-year-old forward has already agreed to personal terms with Bayern, the two clubs remain locked in a standoff over the transfer fee, with no breakthrough in sight.
According to sources close to SoftFootball, Bayern Munich has submitted offers totalling €55 million, but Stuttgart won’t budge unless they receive at least €65 million, a price tag that’s been firmly backed by the club’s supervisory board.

Despite the impasse, Woltemade is said to have already agreed to a long-term deal with Bayern running until 2030, including all salary terms. Sources close to the player describe him as desperate to join, but still acting with full professionalism during pre-season preparations with Stuttgart.
German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reported that although Woltemade is desperate to join Bayern, he has not set an ultimatum to Bayern and he is not putting the German giants under any form of pressure.
He tweeted via his official X handle, stating:
“There is no ultimatum from Nick Woltemade or his camp towards FC Bayern. Woltemade remains professional with VfB Stuttgart, but has once again made it clear that he would like to join FC Bayern before Deadline Day.
“However, no agreement is in sight. Both clubs are currently standing firm.”
Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle has made it crystal clear: unless Bayern returns with what he called an extraordinary offer, the player stays. That exact figure remains unspecified, but internally, the club is holding tight to its €65 million valuation.

In the meantime, Bayern, who recently saw their legend Thomas Muller join Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps, has not submitted an improved bid. While the German champions are eager to bring Woltemade to the Allianz Arena, they consider Stuttgart’s asking price excessive and currently have no plans to meet it.
Woltemade, for his part, is said to be in good spirits. He’s completed his fitness tests, is training with Stuttgart, and has not issued any public demands or ultimatums. Despite his strong desire to join Bayern before the transfer window shuts, the young forward is continuing to act professionally, knowing that any move depends entirely on the two clubs finding common ground.
As it stands, the ball is firmly in Bayern’s court and with Deadline Day creeping closer, time is slowly running out for this deal to cross the finish line.
