At just 18 years old, Yamal broke multiple long-standing records, including surpassing Neymar’s single-season total for successful dribbles.
During the 2024-25 season, Yamal completed 161 successful dribbles in La Liga, nearly double that of his closest competitor, Lukébakio, who had 84. Across all competitions, he registered 244 successful dribbles, beating Neymar’s 2016-17 record of 239.

He also averaged 4.6 dribbles per game in Europe’s top five leagues with a success rate of 59.7%. His skill and consistency have earned him comparisons to Lionel Messi, though Lamine Yamal insists on carving his own path, focusing on improving and going his own way.
Yamal’s dribbling remains a major asset for Barcelona this season. He currently leads La Liga in successful dribbles per 90 minutes and ranks in the 100th percentile among wingers. Fans and analysts continue to praise his agility, quick feet, and ability to create chances.

Barcelona received a boost as both Lamine Yamal and Fermín López returned to training, strengthening the squad ahead of upcoming matches.
With his record-breaking dribbling skills and growing influence, Yamal is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young talents in world football.
