Marcus Rashford has dismissed proposals from Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa as he holds out for a dream move to Spain. The Manchester United forward, who turns 27 this summer, has his sights set on Barcelona despite their financial restrictions and prioritization of other transfer targets.
United have put a €40 million (£34.1m) valuation on Rashford, but Barcelona are currently unwilling to meet that demand. They are instead pursuing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, who has a £48.1m release clause.

Williams has reportedly agreed to join following recent talks with sporting director Deco, although Bilbao are frustrated with Barcelona’s conduct and remain skeptical that the Catalan club can register the player under La Liga’s financial fair play rules.
Rashford, meanwhile, appears open to making personal sacrifices to make the Barcelona switch happen. He is willing to lower his wages and would even consider a loan deal, a format that suits Barcelona’s financial model. His brother and agent already held talks with Deco last month to discuss the possibility of a move.
The forward has not only expressed his desire to join Barcelona but has also hinted at the appeal of teaming up with rising talent Lamine Yamal. The club, however, have informed Rashford that any deal may need to wait until the final stages of the summer transfer window.
Despite turning down the chance to remain in the Premier League or move to Saudi Arabia, Rashford remains committed to securing his preferred destination—even if it means enduring uncertainty as Barcelona work to finalize other targets first. For now, the English international is left waiting as the transfer saga unfolds closer to deadline day.
