Barcelona have been the standout side in La Liga this season, building a commanding lead at the top with 79 points from 31 matches. Their dominance has put them nine points clear of Real Madrid, and with the season entering its final stretch, it is becoming increasingly difficult to see anyone catching them.
Hansi Flick’s side come into this fixture in strong domestic form, having recently recorded a convincing derby victory over Espanyol to extend their lead at the summit.

However, their European journey came to a frustrating end, as they were eliminated from the Champions League by Atlético Madrid despite winning the second leg ultimately falling short on aggregate.
Now fully focused on La Liga, softfootball mentioned that Barcelona will aim to continue their winning streak against Celta Vigo, a side that has proven capable of causing problems in this fixture. Their recent meetings have been high-scoring and unpredictable, suggesting another competitive encounter could be on the cards.
Celta, meanwhile, are also looking to bounce back after their own European disappointment, having been knocked out of the Europa League by SC Freiburg. Despite a recent shock defeat to Real Oviedo, they remain in contention for European qualification and boast one of the strongest away records in the league this season.
Barcelona have also shared clips on their official X handle showing the team’s training sessions ahead of the match, giving fans a glimpse of preparations as they continue their push for the La Liga title.
