Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has received a timely boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace after confirming Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori have both returned to full fitness.

Softfootball reports the pair missed Arsenal’s 3-2 Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Palace in midweek but are now available for selection.

Arteta also revealed Oleksandr Zinchenko has resumed training and could be included in the squad if he successfully completes his final fitness assessment.

Despite the positive news, Arsenal remain without Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who continue their recovery from knee injuries and are not yet ready to return to competitive action.

The Gunners head into the league fixture in high spirits after Gabriel Jesus inspired a comeback victory over Crystal Palace with a superb hat-trick.

Arsenal recovered from Jean-Philippe Mateta’s early opener before Jesus turned the game around, while Eddie Nketiah’s late goal proved only a consolation as Mikel Arteta’s side secured their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
