Speaking after the match in an interview shared on Fabrizio Romano official X handle, Romano posted:

Arteta on Gyökeres: “I can see there’s a collaboration between Viktor and midfielders. He was in a lot of really good positions and the ball didn’t get into the area quick enough”. “But his work and intentions were there and we need to keep insisting”.

Arteta also emphasized that Gyökeres is still adapting to his new environment, adding that goals will eventually unlock his confidence and help him settle fully into the squad.

Arsenal will continue to rely on Gyökeres’ work rate and tactical intelligence as they aim to maintain their push in the Premier League and other competitions this season.

Arsenal now turn their focus to upcoming fixtures where Gyökeres will have opportunities to continue developing his link-up play and search for his first goal for the club.
