Arsenal has taken a step to officially sign 15-year-old midfielder Max Dowman on a scholarship deal, which is a big move forward in his career at the club, Softfootball reports.

Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano shared the news via his official X handle, saying:
Max Dowman has signed scholarship deal at Arsenal, all sealed with the club today.
15 year old’s also ready to sign new pro contract at the club starting from 2027, with verbal agreement in place.
Seen as key part of #AFC part long term project by board/Arteta.
Dowman is one who is really good at keeping the ball under control, seeing passes that other players might not see, and connecting the midfield with the attackers. He has been one of the best young players coming through Arsenal’s academy.
The club has already agreed that Dowman will sign a professional contract in 2027, showing they have big plans set for his future.
This is part of Arsenal’s plan to bring out the best in their own young players by giving them chances with the first team.
The young midfielder has already made his mark on the big stage. He came off the bench against Leeds United earlier this season to become the second youngest player ever in Premier League history, behind his teammate Ethan Nwaneri.
Max even won a penalty in stoppage time, which Viktor Gyokeres scored to seal a 5-0 win. He was given a special matchball to celebrate his first appearance in the competition.
Manager Mikel Arteta believes it’s important to have a big team and to bring young players into the team without stress. Dowman is already seen as someone who can blend in quickly with the senior players when the time comes.
And despite his young age, Dowman has already made headlines. He became one of Arsenal’s youngest players to debut for the first team and has also represented England’s youth teams.
