Arsenal regret selling Mika Biereth after Monaco heroics

Arsenal are facing criticism for selling Mika Biereth in 2024, with the striker now thriving at AS Monaco and being labeled one of Europe’s most promising talents.

Biereth, who never featured for Arsenal’s first team, moved to Sturm Graz before Monaco snapped him up in January. He has since scored 10 goals in his first 10 games.

Paul Parker believes Arsenal severely underestimated Biereth’s potential, arguing that he could have been their best striker given their current lack of attacking options.

Monaco took a dig at Arsenal last month over the sale, with Biereth proving he was ready for top-level football after impressive spells in Austria and Scotland.

Although Ligue 1 is often seen as weaker than the Premier League, Biereth’s instant success suggests he is more than capable of performing at the highest level.

Arsenal’s striker shortage makes their decision even more questionable, especially with injuries further exposing their lack of firepower up front this season.

Fans had high expectations for Biereth, and his rapid rise could soon make him one of the most sought-after young forwards in European football.

With his value skyrocketing, Arsenal may regret letting him go too soon, as finding a similar talent now would likely cost them far more than what they sold him for.
