Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Las Palmas forward Alberto Moleiro as Mikel Arteta continues to strengthen his squad ahead of future transfer windows.
The Gunners are said to be prepared to activate the 21-year-old’s €60 million release clause after identifying the highly rated Spaniard as a player capable of adding creativity and versatility to their attacking options.
Softfootball understands reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes claim the North London club have moved ahead of several European rivals in the race for Moleiro’s signature.
A product of the Las Palmas academy, Moleiro has attracted widespread praise for his technical ability, close control, and vision, with many comparing his playing style to that of Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta. Liverpool have also been linked with the young playmaker in recent months.
Capable of operating as either an attacking midfielder or winger, Moleiro has scored four goals in 17 La Liga appearances this season. Across his senior career, he has registered 11 goals and 13 assists in 128 matches, highlighting the potential Arsenal believe he possesses for the future.
