Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has urged his teammates to maintain consistency if they are to overtake Liverpool and win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners reduced the gap to the league leaders to four points after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the north London derby, with Raya insisting that the team must focus on collecting maximum points.
According to Softfootball, Arsenal still have work to do in the title race, with Liverpool holding a game in hand over Mikel Arteta’s side.
Raya believes the situation at the top of the table can change quickly and has called on his teammates to concentrate on their own performances rather than worry about their rivals. He said:
Three weeks ago, people were saying that Liverpool had the title in their hands. But it is just football, and everything changes in two or three matches.
The Spain international added that Arsenal must aim to win every game and avoid looking too far ahead as they continue their pursuit of a first Premier League title since 2004.
Arsenal will now look to build on their derby victory and maintain pressure on Liverpool in the coming weeks.
