Antoine Semenyo Attracts Interest From Top Premier League Clubs

Antoine Semenyo has emerged as a major target for both Manchester United and Manchester City in the January transfer window, Softfootball reports.

The Ghanaian forward, who currently plays for Bournemouth, has an active £65 million release clause in his contract, giving him the final say over his next club, according to Fabrizio Romano’s official X handle.

Semenyo’s contract with Bournemouth includes a release clause valued at £65 million, consisting of £60 million fixed fee and £5 million in add-ons. This clause is active only for the first two weeks of the January window, expiring around January 10, giving Bournemouth time to find a replacement.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City have made formal enquiries to understand the clause, while Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest.

Semenyo is reported to favour a move to Liverpool if given a choice, with City as his second option, meaning United faces a challenge to convince him. This comes as Bournemouth continue to receive praise for their star, highlighted when Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola hailed Antoine Semenyo and said the Premier League is demanding.

Semenyo has been in excellent form this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists in 15 Premier League appearances. He recently found the net in a thrilling 4-4 draw against Manchester United, reinforcing his reputation as one of the league’s most promising forwards.

Semenyo signed a contract extension with Bournemouth in July 2025, keeping him at the club until June 2030, with the release clause now active. His current market value stands at €40 million.
