Everton have recognised memorable goals from Nigerian stars Daniel Amokachi and Alex Iwobi among the best strikes scored at historic Goodison Park.
Softfootball reports that both Nigerians were included in a special compilation celebrating 60 of the finest goals witnessed at the iconic stadium before Everton’s move to their new home.
Amokachi’s powerful effort against Newcastle United in April 1995 was selected from his two-year spell with the Toffees. The former Super Eagles striker scored 10 league goals in 43 appearances for the club.

Iwobi’s goal against Newcastle in March 2022 also earned a place in the selection. The Nigerian midfielder completed a dramatic move through the Newcastle defence before combining with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and finishing with his weaker left foot.
The strike arrived late in the match and proved crucial as Everton battled to avoid relegation during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
Goodison Park has been Everton’s home for 133 years and has hosted countless memorable moments involving some of English football’s biggest names.
The recognition gives both Nigerians a place in the history of one of English football’s most famous grounds as Everton prepare for a new era. Both goals remain memorable moments for Everton supporters.
