AC Milan manager Allegri on Luka Modrić deal due to expire in June: “We did not discuss about it yet”. “It’s Luka’s decision and we’re waiting for him”. AC Milan want Modrić to stay.
The 40-year-old joined Milan from Real Madrid in July 2025 on a one-year contract with an option to extend, bringing elite experience and leadership to the squad.
Despite concerns about his age, Modrić has delivered an outstanding impact in the 2025/26 Serie A campaign, leading key midfield metrics such as successful passes, line-breaking balls, and ball recoveries in the early stages of the season. His performances have reinforced his enduring quality, having previously won five UEFA Champions League titles and the Ballon d’Or.

The situation leaves room for uncertainty heading into the summer, particularly with the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, which could influence Modrić’s decision.
In other news, Milan are reportedly unwilling to improve their current offer for Brazilian prospect André Luiz despite initial acceptance from Sport Club Corinthians Paulista.
