Alisson Becker has confirmed he is dealing with a fresh injury setback, with Fabrizio Romano reporting on his official X channel that the Liverpool FC goalkeeper will miss upcoming matches without a clear return timeline.
Romano reported:
Alisson confirms he’s suffered a new injury: “Unfortunately, I will be out for some time”.
The Brazilian shot-stopper had already withdrawn from the Brazil national football team squad just 18 hours earlier and as reported by Softfootball, Alisson was absent from Liverpool’s recent UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray due to discomfort in training. The issue is believed to be related to a recurring hamstring problem, raising concerns given his injury history.

His absence comes at a crucial stage of the season, with Liverpool firmly in the Premier League title race. Manager Arne Slot is reportedly hopeful that Alisson could return in time for the upcoming clash against Tottenham Hotspur, though no guarantees have been made.
In the meantime, backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to step in as first choice, taking on increased responsibility during this critical period.
Despite the setback, Liverpool remain in strong form, recently defeating Galatasaray 4–0 in the second leg to secure progression, showcasing their resilience even amid key injury concerns.
