Leicester City and Marseille are reportedly considering moves for Ajax striker Chuba Akpom before the close of the January transfer window.
The former Middlesbrough forward has been made available for a potential loan move by Ajax, according to reports from Softfootball.
Akpom joined the Dutch giants in 2023 after an outstanding campaign with Middlesbrough and has continued to contribute goals since arriving in Amsterdam.
Championship club Sunderland previously showed interest in the Nigerian-born striker earlier in the transfer window, but Akpom reportedly turned down their proposal.
Leicester and Marseille are now expected to step up their interest as the transfer deadline approaches.
The 29-year-old still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract with Ajax, meaning any interested club would need to reach an agreement with the Eredivisie side.
Akpom has scored eight goals in 31 appearances for Ajax this season and could be on the move if a suitable offer is agreed.
