AC Milan are reportedly weighing up a loan move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as the England international edges closer to an Old Trafford exit this January.

Softfootball understands Rashford has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim and has not featured since December, with Milan identifying him as a potential solution to their attacking struggles.

Injuries and inconsistent performances have left the Rossoneri short of firepower, prompting internal discussions over a temporary deal.

Milan are only considering a loan because Rashford’s wages make a permanent transfer financially difficult. Negotiations with Manchester United have not yet started, although club officials are evaluating the possibility.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio also suggested United could accept a loan similar to Jadon Sancho’s temporary move away, hoping Rashford can rebuild his form and market value.

A switch to Serie A could offer the 27-year-old a fresh start after enduring a frustrating spell in England and provide Milan with proven attacking quality for the remainder of the season.
