Valencia are closing in on a deal to sign Renzo Saravia as a free agent from Atlético Mineiro, Softfootball reports. The development has been confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle.
Romano posted:
Valencia are closing in on deal to sign Renzo Saravia as free agent from Atletico Mineiro on a contract until June.
Negotiations between Valencia and the Argentine right-back have progressed in recent days, with positions moving significantly closer compared to earlier stages of talks. However, the agreement is not yet fully sealed.
Valencia are offering a short-term contract running until June 2026 as they look to reinforce the right-back position following Dimitri Foulquier’s injury.

Saravia, however, is pushing for a longer commitment, potentially extending one or two additional seasons. The defender is also understood to have received offers from Qatar, adding another layer to the negotiations.
Saravia is valued for his competitive edge and trademark Argentine “grinta.” While not regarded as a marquee signing, his fighting mentality and defensive work rate could prove crucial in a demanding stretch of the campaign.
Elsewhere, Gianluca Prestianni has denied allegations of racist abuse toward Vinícius Júnior during the recent Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Benfica, describing the incident as a misunderstanding.
In Germany, Borussia Dortmund are expected to confirm the signing of Brazilian left-back Kauã Prates within the next 24 hours after completing all formalities.
