Roy Keane has once again gone straight to the point with his views on defending and leadership.
In a podcast clip shared by the geeb X handle on February 13, 2026, the former Manchester United captain stressed how important it is for defenders to stay vocal and switched on throughout games.

Keane said defenders must never “go quiet,” pointing to Rio Ferdinand as one of the rare players who consistently kept that intensity and communication at a high level. For Keane, talking, organising, and demanding more from teammates is just as important as tackles and clearances.

Meanwhile, there was tough news for Liverpool fans. Conor Bradley has been ruled out for the rest of the 2025/26 season after suffering a significant knee injury.
The 22-year-old picked up the problem late in the 0–0 draw with Arsenal in January. While he thankfully avoided an ACL tear, scans revealed serious bone and ligament damage, forcing him to undergo surgery.
Softfootball and Liverpool confirmed he’s expected to be out until pre-season for 2026/27, which also rules him out of Northern Ireland’s crucial World Cup play-offs against Italy in March. It’s a big blow for a player who had been pushing for more first-team minutes.
Elsewhere in Europe, Torino have moved to strengthen their defence by signing Luca Marianucci from Napoli on loan until June 30, 2026. The 21-year-old centre-back joins the Granata with Torino covering 100% of his wages.
Marianucci spent last season on loan at Empoli before joining Napoli in July 2025, and this move is seen as a chance for him to get regular top-flight football and continue his development.
