The Super Eagles have been in imperious form throughout AFCON 2025, maintaining a 100% record so far. Nigeria topped Group C with maximum nine points, defeating Tanzania (2–1), Tunisia (3–2), and Uganda (3–1). They continued their dominance in the Round of 16 with an emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique.

Algeria, however, present a stern test, having built a reputation as one of the most defensively organised teams in the tournament.

Should Nigeria overcome Algeria, they will advance to the semifinals where a blockbuster showdown awaits against AFCON 2025 hosts Morocco, who sealed their place by defeating Cameroon 2–0 on Friday, January 9, 2026.

With club and country backing them, all eyes will be on Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, and the Super Eagles as they chase continental glory in Marrakech.
