The former Super Eagles winger, who enjoyed a successful career with the Blues especially under Antonio Conte where he was converted to a wing-back must have watches in disappointment in midweek as his darling Chelsea lost 2-1 to Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League Match-Day 6.

The winger who is currently without a club after leaving Luton Town was celebrated by Chelsea via their official X handle. They posted:

Victor Moses also had a successful career with the Super Eagles but unfortunately Nigeria will not be at the 2026 World Cup after they were eliminated from the play-offs by DR Congo.
Moses, who made his debut for Nigerian in 2012, went on to earn 38 caps and scored 12 times. He helped the Super Eagles win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and represented Nigeria at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups before retiring from international football in 2018.
At club level, Moses began his professional career in the Championship, making 58 appearances and scoring 11 goals. He was highly rated and moved to Wigan Athletic (2010-2012) where his impressive performances caught the eye of top clubs. He made 74 appearances for the club.

Chelsea signed him in August 2012 and his career at the Bridge lasted until 2021. His time at the club included multiple loan spells, but he became a central figure in the 2016-17 season, playing as a right wing-back in a 3-4-3 formation as Chelsea won the Premier League title. He had loan spells at Inter Milan, Liverpool, West Ham United, Fenerbahçe and stoke City before joining Luton Town where he was released at the end of last season.
Moses won the Premier League with Chelsea in the 2016–17 season, FA Cup in 2018 and UEFA Europa League in 2012–13. He added a Russian Cup Spartak Moscow in the 2021–22 season.
