16-year-old Ecuadorian twins Edwin Quintero and Holger Quintero will be moving from Independiente del Valle to Arsenal in 2027 as the big European club has reached an agreement to sign them, Softfootball reports.
According to Arsenal, the deal reflects a long term goal and until 2027 when the twins will turn 18, they will be at Independiente del Valle, making good use of the opportunity to further sharpen their skills.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the recent development via his official X handle, he said:
Official: Edwin and Holgér Quintero join Arsenal from August 2027 from Independiente del Valle. Ecuadorian twins are part of #AFC long term project to bring in the best talents.
Edwin is described as a left-footed quick, skillful winger who likes to take on opponents while Holger is described as a right-footed attacking midfielder known for his vision and creativity.
The signing follows a growing trend among big European clubs leaning towards Ecuador for young raw talents. Recall when Chelsea also secured a deal for 16-year-old defender Deinner Ordóñez from Independiente del Valle to join them in 2028.
This recent recruitments being sought after by bigger European clubs shows that there is strong faith in what the South American clubs, especially Ecuador, are producing.
Not too long ago, Softfootball also reported FC Bayern’s agreement to sign 17-year-old Virgilio Olaya from SD Aucas. With their young talents being strongly sought after, the Ecuadorian football academy would gain recognition as a reliable source of future young stars.
