Juventus have announced the appointment of Massimo Brambilla as interim manager following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, whose tenure came to an abrupt end after a 1–0 defeat to Lazio extended the club’s winless run to eight matches. The decision, confirmed on October 27, 2025, leaves the Bianconeri sitting in eighth place in Serie A , far below expectations for a team of their stature.

His departure comes just 218 days after replacing Thiago Motta, marking another short-lived chapter in Juventus’ ongoing managerial merry-go-round. According to the club’s official statement, the decision was based on poor results and repeated public complaints, including Tudor’s frustrations over refereeing decisions and fixture congestion, comments that reportedly irritated the board.
In the meantime, Brambilla who has impressed while managing Juventus Next Gen, will step up to lead the senior squad in their upcoming Serie A clash against Udinese. The club emphasized its commitment to continuity and stability, thanking Tudor and his backroom team, Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic, and Riccardo Ragnacci , for their professionalism and service.
However, attention has already turned to the long-term picture. Reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a video analysis released on his official YouTube handle suggest that Luciano Spalletti has emerged as the leading candidate for the permanent job. Talks are said to be well underway, with Spalletti expressing full willingness to take over. The veteran coach is reportedly seeking an 18-month contract, though he would accept a shorter deal running until the end of the 2025–26 season with an option to extend.
