Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Djed Spence has signed a new long-term deal at the club, Softfootball reports.
Spurs new manager, Thomas Frank is a huge admirer of the versatile player and sanctioned his new deal after impressing against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Super Cup and recent win over newly promoted Burnley on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur announced the deal via the official club media. Spence is expected to be a very integral part of Thomas Frank’s side.
Spurs statement read:
“We are delighted to announce that Djed Spence has signed a new, long-term contract with the Club.”
The 25-year-old made his full Premier League debut during Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Southampton in December, 2024. The winter period was good for him but he did not score his first Premier League goal until February in the 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town.
He was nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for February and although he didn’t win, it was a remarkable recognition for his efforts.
Also, Spence was part of Tottenham’s squad that defeated fellow premier league side, Manchester United to win the Europa League. A sweet accolades for Spence who once went on loan to Stade Rennais, Leeds United and Genoa.
The new contract at Spurs is a firm recognition that he is a proper first team player and will be in London for a long time. He featured on the opening day of the season against Burnley and will hope to play a part against Manchester City in the match-day 2 of the Premier League.
Since joining Tottenham Hotspur Djed Spence has made 42 appearances in all competitions for the North London club and scored two goals.
New Tottenham gaffer, Thomas Frank enjoys working with younger players and Spence is perfect because he can still be developed into a top player in the premier league.
