Flamengo are not in talks to sign Arsenal forward, Gabriel Jesus despite rumors circulating that the Brazilian club have made initial contact with the 28-year-old and are exploring a possible transfer for the former Man City star.
Jesus is still in the midst of recovering from his ACL injury, but he must also make a decision about his future before the opportunity to seek first team football back in Brazil goes away should the rumors eventually materialized.

According to a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his X handle, the transfer expert reiterated that there is no negotiation going on between the Gunners and Flamengo concerning Jesus move.
The tweet reads:
“No talks ongoing between Flamengo and Arsenal for Gabriel Jesus at this stage, despite reports”.
Softfootball understands that the striker is attracting interests from other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite being a significant signing for Mikel Arteta in 2022, the Brazilian has struggled to maintain consistency partly due to recurring knee injuries that have limited his form and availability
Jesus has scored only 26 goals in 96 appearances for the Gunners, a return that’s underwhelmed many fans and pundits, particularly given the lofty expectations that accompanied his move from Manchester City.
Jesus, who is recovering from an injury sustained last season, faces a tough task next season after the arrival of £64 million striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, and the presence of Kai Havertz in the squad who is firmly ahead of him on the depth chart.
A loan move, whether to Brazil or elsewhere seems to make sense for Gabriel Jesus in the up coming season. The World Cup is next summer, and the 28-year-old needs to play as much as he possibly can once he returns from injury to give himself a shot at being in the Brazil squad on the plane to the U.S.
