It’s no secret that Manchester United and Brentford have been in close negotiations for Cameronian forward, Bryan Mbeumo but the Red Devils may not get everything their way in the pursuit of the player.
In recent weeks, Softfootball has reported that Brentford had so far rejected two bids from the Red Devils, first £45m plus £10m in add-ons then £55m plus £7.5m in add-ons. It is understood that the club wants a higher guarantee fee for the player instead of unrealistic add-ons.

However, Brentford’s director of football, Phil Giles has revealed that the club is in constant dialogue with Mbeumo and it is not impossible for him to remain at the club next season if their demands are not met by Manchester United.
“He had a fantastic season,” he told BBC Sport. “We expected big interest in him, we have had big interest in him.
“He has his ideas about where he wants to take his career. He is well within his rights to do that.
“It is not impossible he is still a Brentford player next season if we agree he is going to stay.
“Any club will tell you that,” he added. “If it’s not right deal, why would we do it?
“He is certainly one of our best players, if not our best player, and we need our best players. There’s no harm in keeping your best players.”

Earlier, Softfootball reported that Manchester United are keen to add Mbeumo to Reuben Amorim’s squad for the new season and the player has made it easy for the Red Devils by insisting that he will only sign for them if he is to leave Brentford this summer.
Mbeumo enjoyed his best scoring season last campaign with 20 goals in the Premier League and has set his mind on a move to Manchester United.
