Arsenal have stepped up their summer recruitment drive by making an initial move for Brazilian prospect Breno Bidon, a 20-year-old midfielder from Corinthians.

Mikel Arteta, aiming to fortify several key areas ahead of the new season, is pushing for a centre forward and winger, but the Gunners are also keen to secure promising young talents.

Bidon has caught the eye of numerous clubs including Wolves, Brighton, Benfica, and Sporting CP. Despite his rising profile, Corinthians are open to selling the midfielder to ease financial pressure, with a price tag set at just £12.8 million.

Arsenal’s summer rebuild is already well underway. Deals for Spanish duo Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga are close to completion, with official announcements expected next week. Brentford captain Christian Norgaard is also nearing a medical ahead of a move to north London.

Additionally, Arsenal are negotiating with Valencia for defender Cristhian Mosquera. While their initial £16 million bid was rejected, the club remains interested despite Valencia’s £25 million valuation.

The Gunners are also actively pursuing a new striker. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko are top of the list, though negotiations have proven difficult due to high asking prices and contract demands.

In attack, wingers Anthony Gordon and Rodrygo are on the radar, and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze has also emerged as a possible option.

As Arsenal continue reinforcing their squad across all fronts, the potential acquisition of Breno Bidon could be another smart investment in both the club’s present and future.
