Erling Haaland added another milestone to his already prolific career during Manchester City’s commanding 5-2 victory over Juventus in the Club World Cup group stage.

The win, which secured top spot in Group G for Pep Guardiola’s side, featured standout performances from multiple players—but it was Haaland’s latest achievement that stole the spotlight.

The Norwegian striker started the game on the bench, with City already holding a narrow 2-1 lead at halftime. He was introduced at the interval and wasted no time making his presence felt, slotting home a close-range finish from Matheus Nunes’ low cross just seven minutes into the second half.

While the finish was scrappy, the goal carried significant weight. It marked Haaland’s 300th career goal across club and international football, an astonishing feat achieved in just 371 appearances. His tally includes:

  • 123 goals in 145 matches for Manchester City
  • 86 goals in 89 appearances for Borussia Dortmund
  • 29 goals for Red Bull Salzburg
  • 20 goals at Molde
  • 42 goals in 43 games for Norway

The 24-year-old forward continues to deliver at the highest level and shows no signs of slowing down. His latest strike also keeps him firmly in contention for the Club World Cup Golden Boot. Haaland has now scored twice in the tournament, with his earlier goal coming in City’s 6-0 rout of Al-Ain.

He’s just one goal behind the current top scorers—Michael Olise, Kenan Yildiz, Angel Di Maria, Wessam Abou Ali, and Jamal Musiala—each of whom have netted three. With City advancing to the knockout rounds, Haaland will have further opportunities to climb the scoring charts.

Phil Foden and Savinho also added to the scoreline, with the latter producing a stunning long-range goal, while Dusan Vlahovic grabbed a late consolation for Juventus. Still, the night belonged to Haaland, whose relentless goal output continues to break records and set new benchmarks.

As Man City march toward Club World Cup glory, their star striker may be on the brink of adding yet another individual accolade to his collection: the tournament’s Golden Boot.
