Emmanuel Arokodare, Genk’s star forward and Super Eagles striker, is reportedly open to a move to Manchester United this summer following a remarkable season in Belgium.
The 24-year-old, who scored 23 goals and registered seven assists in 45 appearances, is being viewed as a valuable attacking option by the Red Devils.
Arokodare is currently on vacation in Lagos but is expected to return for pre-season preparations unless a transfer is finalized soon.

His performances earned him the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot and placed him third among Nigerian goalscorers worldwide in the 2024/2025 season. Genk, however, is unlikely to let him leave without a significant fee, with the club setting an asking price of €23 million.
Despite expressing admiration for Real Madrid in the past, Arokodare recently confirmed he would welcome a move to the Premier League, specifically Manchester United. He acknowledged his long-time support for the English giants and emphasized that playing for them would be a dream come true.
With United’s attack lacking consistency last season, Arokodare could be the solution. The club only managed 44 league goals, with Hojlund, Garnacho, and Zirkzee combining for just 13. Arokodare’s record nearly doubles that trio’s tally, making him a standout candidate for the role.
If a deal goes through, the 1.97m striker would step into a squad that has seen big names falter under pressure at Old Trafford. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Romelu Lukaku all had mixed fortunes despite initial success. To thrive, Arokodare would need mental resilience and consistent output in front of goal.
United reportedly see him as a more affordable alternative to top targets like Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic, and Jonathan David. Sporting manager Ruben Amorim has also been linked with Arokodare if his side can’t secure their preferred strikers.
The Nigerian forward, who has played for clubs like FC Koln and Amiens SC, is now on the radar of not only United but also clubs from Germany and Turkey. With his growing reputation and Genk’s willingness to sell at the right price, his next move could be the most pivotal of his career.
