Manchester United closing in on Arokodare summer move

Emmanuel Arokodare, is reportedly open to a move to Manchester United this summer following a remarkable season in Belgium. The 24-year-old, who scored 23 goals and registered seven assists in 45 appearances, is being viewed as a valuable attacking option by the Red Devils.

Arokodare is currently on vacation in Lagos but is expected to return for pre-season preparations unless a transfer is finalized soon. His performances earned him the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot and placed him third among Nigerian goalscorers worldwide in the 2024/2025 season.

Genk, however, is unlikely to let him leave without a significant fee, with the club setting an asking price of €23 million as gathered by Softfootball.

Despite expressing admiration for Real Madrid in the past, Arokodare recently confirmed he would welcome a move to the Premier League, specifically Manchester United. He acknowledged his long-time support for the English giants and emphasized that playing for them would be a dream come true.

As earlier reported by Softfootball, Manchester United are currently preparing a £60 million bid for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as the club looks to reshape its attacking options this summer.

The Red Devils have already bolstered their frontline with Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are in talks with Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo. However, with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho all considered expendable, United remain in the market for another high-profile forward.
