A passionate Nigerian football fan has expressed confidence in the Super Falcons’ ability to overcome Comoros in the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers, insisting that Nigeria’s quality and home support should prove decisive.
Speaking to SoftFootball in Ikenne, Ogun State, ahead of the first-leg encounter, the supporter backed the Super Falcons to secure victory and continue their push for a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The fan described Nigeria as the benchmark for women’s football in Africa and believes the team has more than enough quality to get past Comoros.
When it comes to African football, the Super Falcons are the best, definitely. Comoros is a strong side, but the Super Falcons will prevail.
He also pointed to the advantage of playing in Ikenne, where local supporters are expected to provide strong backing throughout the two-legged contest.
The home fans will support the girls massively and they will keep delivering. This won’t be an exception.
Unfazed by Comoros’ Previous Results
When asked whether Comoros’ reported 30-0 aggregate victory over Sudan caused any concern, the supporter dismissed the suggestion and insisted Nigeria represents a much tougher challenge.
No, no, no. Sudan is not a football nation when it comes to women’s football.
The fan argued that the Super Falcons should be testing themselves against some of the world’s leading football nations.
Nigeria should be competing with Japan and South Korea, not Comoros.
Looking beyond the Comoros tie, the supporter acknowledged that a potential meeting with Morocco could present a more difficult challenge.
While confident in Nigeria’s quality, he believes the integration of younger players into the squad means the team will still need time to fully develop its chemistry.
I don’t think Morocco will be as easy. We have a couple of new players and young players who still need time to blend with the team.
Despite that, he remains confident that the Super Falcons will rise to the occasion when needed.
The Super Falcons will always prevail.
As the Super Falcons continue their preparations, confidence among supporters remains high that Nigeria will get the job done against Comoros and move one step closer to securing a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
