The Super Eagles produced a remarkable second-half comeback to secure a 3-3 draw against Russia in an entertaining international friendly at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
Nigeria looked set to suffer defeat after falling two goals behind, but a late equaliser from Akor Adams in the fourth minute of stoppage time completed an impressive fightback for Éric Chelle’s side.
The Super Eagles had taken an early lead through Kelechi Iheanacho, who opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a superb strike from distance.

Iheanacho received the ball from Abdullahi Bewene before unleashing an effort from around 21 yards that found the back of the net and gave Nigeria an early advantage.
Russia responded strongly and eventually turned the game around, leaving Nigeria facing a two-goal deficit heading into the closing stages.
Nigeria reduced the deficit through Peter Edokpolor, who made an immediate impact after coming off the bench.
The 19-year-old midfielder showed excellent composure, weaving his way through the Russian defence before firing beyond the goalkeeper to make it 3-2.
