João Félix has revealed that a return to European football remains firmly in his plans despite enjoying life at Al-Nassr, with the Portugal international admitting that the Champions League is still a major motivation for him.
Speaking to AS, Félix explained that he is happy in Saudi Arabia as he enters his second season with Al-Nassr, but he has not ruled out returning to Europe either at the end of the current campaign or the following season.
The 26-year-old wants to experience Champions League football again and compete against Europe’s biggest clubs, believing the level of competition provides an extra motivation that remains important to him.
Félix’s comments come after a strong period in Saudi Arabia, where he has rebuilt his confidence and played an important role for Al-Nassr. His performances have also helped re-establish his place as an important figure for Portugal.
Meanwhile, Leeds United have made an impressive start to the Premier League season after humiliating Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road.
