Softfotball can confirm that Omar Marmoush has signed his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, completing his move from Manchester City and becoming the latest major addition to Roberto De Zerbi’s attacking rebuild.
The Egypt international forward joins Spurs on a season-long loan deal that includes an obligation to buy for a fee expected to be around £50-60 million.
Tottenham had grown increasingly confident of completing the transfer in recent days, with negotiations progressing quickly between the two Premier League clubs. Marmoush’s decision to move comes after struggling to establish himself as a regular starter at Manchester City following his £59 million transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025.
The 27-year-old arrived at City with a strong reputation after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga, but competition for attacking positions limited his opportunities at the Etihad.
Tottenham now see Marmoush as an important piece of their new-look attack under De Zerbi. His pace, movement, versatility and ability to operate across the frontline provide Spurs with another dangerous attacking option.
His arrival also continues a busy summer for Tottenham, who have invested heavily in rebuilding their squad. Spurs completed the signing of Savinho from Manchester City just days before securing Marmoush, strengthening their relationship with the Premier League champions in the transfer market.
With Marmoush’s contract now signed, the transfer is effectively complete, subject to the remaining formalities. Tottenham will hope the Egyptian forward can rediscover his best form in North London and play a major role in De Zerbi’s plans for the new season.
