According to reports reaching Softfootball, Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement with Micky van de Ven over a new long-term contract.
The Netherlands international is considered a key player for manager Roberto De Zerbi and the club, with Tottenham never making him available for transfer during the summer window. The new agreement will include an improved salary as Spurs look to secure the defender’s long-term future.
The contract renewal follows a similar approach to Pedro Porro, with Tottenham prioritising new deals for players viewed as central to De Zerbi’s plans.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have also entered the race for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they continue to assess attacking options ahead of the new season.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray, has attracted interest from several major European clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool. Tottenham have now joined the competition for his signature as clubs across Europe continue searching for proven goalscorers.
The Nigerian international recently scored in Galatasaray’s 3-3 pre-season draw against Rennes, further highlighting his importance and keeping his name high on the list of Europe’s top clubs.
