Osimhen Proud Of Galatasaray’s Spirit Despite Kasimpasa Stalemate

Victor Osimhen has admitted Galatasaray were disappointed to miss out on victory against Kasimpasa but insisted the team’s fighting spirit gives them confidence in the race for the Turkish Super Lig title.

The Nigerian striker scored twice in Sunday’s thrilling 3-3 Istanbul derby, taking his league tally to 16 goals this season. Softfootball gathered that Osimhen was pleased with his teammates’ determination despite the frustrating result.

Osimhen said after the match:

I would say disappointment.

We fought against an effective opponent and I’m proud of my teammates for their efforts.

The Super Eagles forward acknowledged the demanding nature of the Turkish league, stressing that every team must remain focused from the first whistle until the final minute to avoid costly mistakes.

Osimhen also reaffirmed his commitment to the club, saying he is prepared to contribute in every possible way, whether by scoring goals, defending or supporting his teammates. He added:

We fight together as one team. We have the quality needed to win the championship.

Despite dropping two points, Galatasaray remain firmly in the title race, with Osimhen convinced the squad has the unity, quality and mentality required to finish the season as champions.
