Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has urged the club to give manager Ruben Amorim more time to implement his vision.

The former winger emphasized that the team’s current struggles are rooted in years of poor recruitment rather than the new manager’s tactics, calling for stability and strategic support. Softfootball reports that Giggs believes success will return if the right conditions are met.

Giggs highlighted that the club has made consistent errors in the transfer market over the last decade, leaving the squad ill-equipped for immediate dominance. He argued that Amorim needs specific players tailored to his system and the patience to develop them without the pressure of imminent dismissal.

He explained his stance by stating:

Given a chance and given time, Amorim will bring success back. If we get the right players in and the manager gets time, we will be OK. But at the moment, we are miles off it. We’re nowhere near — a long, long way behind — but it can soon turn around.

The treble winner suggested that three or four transfer windows would be a reasonable timeframe to judge the Portuguese coach’s progress. His comments reflect a growing consensus that rebuilding United requires a long-term strategy rather than reactive changes in management.
