Juventus have reached a full agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign highly rated Bosnian winger Kerim Alajbegović in one of the biggest youth transfers of the summer. All parties have agreed to the deal, with Juventus set to pay a guaranteed €33 million fee plus performance-related add-ons that could raise the total package to between €35 million and €40 million.
The 18-year-old has also agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants, clearing the way for the transfer to be finalized in the coming days.
Earlier, Softfootball reported that Chelsea were in active negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over a potential move for the teenager. However, Juventus ultimately won the race after presenting a clearer pathway to immediate first-team opportunities, a decisive factor in the player’s choice.
The transfer is expected to become one of the most expensive deals involving an under-19 player from the Bundesliga, underlining Juventus’ belief in Alajbegović’s enormous potential.
The signing also fits perfectly into the club’s long-term rebuilding strategy, with Juventus continuing to invest heavily in elite young talent capable of becoming future stars.
Once the remaining formalities are completed, Alajbegović will officially become a Juventus player, adding creativity, pace and technical quality to the club’s attacking options as they prepare for the new season.
