Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is expected to undergo a medical at Aston Villa as he closes in on a loan move away from Old Trafford.
The England international is set to join Villa for the remainder of the season, with the agreement reportedly including an option for the Premier League club to make the transfer permanent for a fee believed to be around £40 million.
According to details monitored by Softfootball, Rashford has already agreed personal terms with Aston Villa and is expected to complete the medical process before finalising the move.
Villa are reportedly prepared to cover about 70 percent of the 27-year-old’s wages, while additional bonuses could be included based on the club’s progress in Europe and their qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Rashford has not featured for Manchester United since December after falling out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim. The forward has missed the club’s last 12 matches.
The proposed transfer would bring an end, at least temporarily, to Rashford’s long association with United, having joined the club’s academy at the age of eight.
