Manchester United have officially completed the signing of highly-rated young defender Ayden Heaven from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The 18-year-old centre-back has signed a contract running until June 2029, with the club holding an option to extend the agreement by another year.

According to Softfootball, Heaven will immediately join Manchester United’s first-team squad as Ruben Amorim continues to strengthen his group with promising young players.

United confirmed the transfer in an official statement, highlighting Heaven’s experience at youth international level and his recent involvement with Arsenal’s first team.

The teenager made his senior debut for Arsenal earlier this season and has represented England up to Under-19 level.

Speaking after completing his move, Heaven expressed his excitement at joining one of the biggest clubs in world football. He said:

I am incredibly proud to join Manchester United. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality.

Heaven added that he is determined to continue developing and become the best player possible.

The defender becomes the second young player to move from Arsenal to United this season, following the arrival of striker Chido Obi-Martin in October.

Meanwhile, United were also closing in on the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.
