Former Nigeria international Tijani Babangida has urged Victor Boniface to continue his career in Europe despite interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr.
The proposed move to Al Nassr collapsed during the January transfer window, with Boniface remaining at Bayer Leverkusen.
Babangida believes the striker should focus on developing his career in Europe before considering a move to Saudi Arabia. Babangida told Africa Foot.
Listen, this is not a criticism of Victor because he is such a talented boy. But I think it happened a little too early.
Given his immense talent, he still has more than seven years at the highest level in the best European clubs.
Al Nassr is a big club, but I still think he is too young to play in Saudi Arabia. I think this will have an impact on his legacy.
Babangida added that patience could help Boniface secure an even bigger contract in the future.
