England captain Harry Kane has expressed his desire for Eric Dier to remain at Bayern Munich beyond the end of the season.
Softfootball reports that Dier’s current contract with the Bundesliga giants is set to expire in the summer, with the defender yet to secure an extension at the club.
Dier joined Bayern Munich in January last year, six months after Kane completed his move to the German champions from Tottenham Hotspur.
The England striker believes Dier has performed well whenever given the opportunity, despite facing strong competition for a regular starting spot.

Kane also pointed to Dier’s recent performances, with the defender helping Bayern keep two clean sheets in his latest appearances. He said:
Eric’s been great, he’s been waiting patiently,
The Bayern forward added that Dier has impressed since returning to the team, while admitting that the final decision over his future will be between the player and the club.
I’d love Eric to stay. I guess that’s between him and the club,
Kane stated.
Dier will now have to wait and see whether Bayern offer him a new contract as the summer transfer window approaches.
