A television personality has been given a suspended prison sentence and fined after admitting she fabricated a rape allegation against AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.

Luisa Kremleva’s legal team had previously called in sick ahead of her scheduled trial last October, citing a medical emergency that forced a suspension of proceedings while prosecutors sought a two-year jail term.

Softfootball understands court officials confirmed she was ultimately handed a six-month suspended sentence and fined £1,500 after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors.

Kremleva admitted to falsely claiming the France international had raped her in the back of a car outside a Marbella nightclub.

Investigators reportedly closed their probe within two days after reviewing CCTV footage that contradicted her account, showing she had fallen accidentally rather than being forced out of the vehicle as she had claimed.

Police are also said to have obtained a message Kremleva sent to Hernandez hours after the alleged incident, repeatedly asking when he planned to leave with her. She has been warned that reoffending within the next two years will result in the suspended sentence being enforced.
