Leicester City will be without Wilfred Ndidi for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers as the Nigerian midfielder continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Softfootball reports Ndidi sustained the injury during Leicester’s 2-2 draw with Brighton two weeks ago and has yet to return to full training.

The midfielder also missed the Foxes’ previous league fixture against Newcastle United and remains unavailable for selection.

Providing an update ahead of the weekend, Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy confirmed the Super Eagles star is still undergoing rehabilitation.

Wilfred is in his rehab. He’s not on the pitch so he’s not available for selection,

Van Nistelrooy said.

Ndidi has been an important figure for Leicester this season, making 15 Premier League appearances and contributing significantly with his defensive work and leadership in midfield.

His continued absence represents another setback for the Foxes as they look to climb the table and build momentum during a demanding run of fixtures.
