The Nigerian was driving his Lamborghini when the crash occurred, though Italian outlet Il Messaggero confirmed he sustained no injuries in the incident.
Softfootball understands the story was initially kept away from the media, only surfacing after Dele-Bashiru featured for Lazio in their heavy 6-0 defeat to Inter Milan on Monday.
The 24-year-old came off the bench to replace Pedro in the 57th minute during that match, showing no visible signs of being affected by the earlier scare.
His appearance provided reassurance to both Lazio supporters and the Nigerian football community that the midfielder had escaped the accident without any physical setbacks.
