Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has praised head coach Enzo Maresca, saying he is enjoying some of the best football of his career under the Italian tactician.
Softfootball understands that the Spain international believes Maresca’s tactical ideas and coaching methods are helping Chelsea develop into a stronger and more competitive side.

Speaking to the club’s official media, Cucurella described Maresca as a top-class manager who is constantly introducing new concepts and encouraging the players to improve every day.
The left-back admitted that Chelsea are still adapting to the manager’s philosophy but stressed that the project is moving in the right direction.
According to Cucurella, the squad’s youthful profile means patience will be required, as success cannot be achieved overnight. However, he believes the players are making steady progress and should take pride in their recent performances.
Reflecting on his own form, the Spaniard said he is delighted to contribute to the team whenever called upon and remains focused on putting the club’s objectives ahead of individual recognition.
He also acknowledged the competition for places within Chelsea’s talented squad, insisting that every player must be ready to contribute whether starting or coming off the bench.
Cucurella concluded by saying that while personal accolades such as the Man of the Match award are appreciated, securing victories for Chelsea will always remain the team’s top priority.
