In his farewell message, Ten Hag expressed deep gratitude to the Manchester United faithful for their unwavering support throughout his time at the club, describing the atmosphere at Old Trafford and during away fixtures as unforgettable.

He also thanked the club’s staff across all departments for standing by him during both the highs and lows of his tenure, acknowledging their commitment throughout his reign.

The former Ajax boss reflected proudly on winning the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, admitting those achievements would remain special memories, even though he had hoped to deliver even more silverware to the club.

Ten Hag added that although his ambition was to restore Manchester United to sustained success, that dream had come to an end sooner than he had hoped.

He concluded by wishing the club and its supporters future success, expressing appreciation for the warmth and sense of belonging he experienced during his time in Manchester.

The Dutch coach leaves Old Trafford having secured two domestic trophies before the club turned to Ruben Amorim to begin a new chapter.
