Softfootball can confirm Como have put their pursuit of Trevoh Chalobah on hold, with club president Mirwan Suwarso holding talks with Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta regarding the Chelsea defender’s future.

According to the latest reports, the two clubs maintain an excellent relationship, and Como have made it clear they will only submit another offer for Chalobah if Inter decide to pull out of the race.

The update represents a significant shift in the transfer saga after Chelsea rejected Como’s previous proposals, including an offer worth €28 million plus €2 million in bonuses, with the Blues continuing to value the England defender at around €35 million.

Inter, meanwhile, remain firmly in contention and are continuing discussions with Chalobah’s representatives as they explore the possibility of bringing the versatile centre-back to San Siro.

For now, Como have opted against entering a bidding war with their Serie A rivals and will closely monitor developments before deciding whether to revive their interest.

With Inter still actively negotiating with the player’s camp and Chelsea standing firm on their valuation, Chalobah’s future remains one of the most closely watched transfer stories of the summer window.
